Rex Ravita II is a freshman journalism major from Biloxi. He chose a minor in digital media to accompany his journalism major. He enjoys writing as well as photography, and wants to one day pursue a career as a news reporter.
Jyesha Johnson is a sophomore majoring in broadcast journalism from Indianola in the Mississippi Delta. She hopes to move to big city where things are faster paced. She enjoys watching reruns of a “A Different World” on Netflix and spending time with her family. She hopes to become a successful journalist for a trusted news organization.
Mobile native Abby Tait is a freshman studying integrated marketing communications. In high school, Tait was the senior life editor of the yearbook. Her mother owns an antique store in Mobile, Alabama, where Abby has refurbished and redesigned furniture the last three years. She enjoys traveling, being on the water, and listening to music.
Makenzie Brinson is majoring in integrated marketing and communications and minoring in business administration while obtaining a specialization in public relations. She plans to continue her education with law school and one day work on cases related to family and juvenile law. In her free time, she enjoys painting, exploring new places, and surrounding herself with her loving friends and family. She has a heart for traveling, missions, people, and all things Disney.
Marlene Middleton is studying integrated marketing and communications. She enjoys writing in her free time and doing anything that allows her to use her creativity.
Abby Vance is Grenada, Mississippi native who recently transferred from Holmes Community College and is pursuing a degree in journalism. Because of her passion for working with children at her hometown church, she hopes to write for Christian magazines or children’s devotional books. Vance enjoys eating copious amounts of Chick-Fil-A waffle fries, drinking coffee, being active, and spending time with her family and friends.
